The ticket sales of 2014 Hong Kong movie were published recently. The box office in total has reached 1647 million HK$, with a growth of 1.3% compared to 1626 million HK$ in 2013. The number of released movies stayed in 310, and the number of Hong Kong local movies increased slightly from 43 to 51. However, the quantity growth didn’t help to make local movie gain traction in the market—only Golden Chicken S（“金鸡风云”）and From Vegas to Macau （“赌城风云”）scraped into Top10 grossing movie. Obviously, Hollywood movie still monopolized Hong Kong movie market in the whole 2014.
