“We coexist…We want our new generation to recognize the value of this craft and let young designers know that the craft may inspire them to create local, authentic designs.”—JEFF WAN

The owner of Shoe Artistry emphasized the importance of “craft, design, culture and heritage coexist as a creative ecology.” They intended to let young designers recognize the value of handmade craft and inherit the spirit behind “handmade in Hong Kong” which is sourcing, producing and designing locally. They believed that in this way, they can revamp the image of craftsmanship.
